My process of making
art originates from a desire
to make personal interior landscapes visually available to others.
The images often emerge from the unconscious,
from memories, from longing and desire, and from pure,
physical urgency to make visual what can not be expressed
and shared with others by any other means.
My materials include wax, resin, paper, ink, paint, cloth, rope,
wire as well as found objects.
The sense of satisfaction
when a piece is done is always tempered by the suspicion
that few pieces are ever complete.
What I mean by that is;
although sometimes there is a feeling of a job well done,
that feeling is always overshadowed by the need
to do other pieces expanding on the idea.
